Groom - horse race track

Radcliffe Racing Stable ( Thunder Bay, ON) is currently looking for a skilled Groom - horse race track. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Shift timings include: Early morning, Morning, Evening, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must bathe and shampoo animals.
• The candidate must clean and disinfect cages, pens, aquariums, kennels, runs, stalls, and enclosures.
• The candidate must clip animal nails.
• The candidate must perform dental cleaning on domestic animals.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English or French.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.

• The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.
• The candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.

Work Setting

• The candidate's relocation costs should not be covered by the employer; if the company does not provide a relocation package, you may request an advance on your earnings to cover some of your moving expenses.
