Pharmacist

New Day Danforth Pharmacy in Scarborough, ON is inviting applications for the position of Pharmacist. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. We are offering a Permanent employment - Part time opportunity. The schedule involves Morning, Day, Weekend shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must advise customers on indications, contraindications, adverse effects, drug interactions, and dosage.
• The candidate must dispense prescribed pharmaceuticals to customers or other healthcare professionals.
• The candidate must advise customers on non-prescription medication use.
• The candidate must check prescriptions for proper dosage.
• The candidate must maintain medication profiles of customers, including registry of poisons and controlled drugs.

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College/CEGEP diploma.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.

• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in various positions, including those that require sitting, standing, and walking, as well as those that involve physical activity.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a hospital or clinical pharmacy to prepare, dispense, and manage medications under professional standards.
