Personal care aide - medical

Prime Medical Services Inc. in Winnipeg, MB is inviting applications for the position of Personal care aide - medical. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position.

Job Description

• The candidate must accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities.
• The candidate must assist with cleaning, sterilizing, setting up, and assembling medical equipment.
• The candidate must perform other duties related to patient care and comfort.
• The candidate must perform other duties related to personal care.
• The candidate must take patients’ blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
• The candidate must serve meal trays and feed patients.
• The candidate must make beds and maintain patients’ rooms.
• The candidate must supervise patients’ exercise routines.
• The candidate must bathe, dress, and groom patients.
• The candidate must administer first aid in emergency situations.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate must be interpersonally aware.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must have patience.
