Bailey Martens Home Care ( Victoria, BC) is currently looking for a skilled Personal care aide - home care. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment - Part time. The schedule involves Morning, Day, Night, Weekend, Shift, Flexible hours, To be determined shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must assist clients in water (i.e., pool).
• The candidate must assist in regular exercise, such as walking.
• The candidate must launder clothing and household linens.
• The candidate must perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
• The candidate must provide personal care.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate must be punctual.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Site Environment

• The work environment is smoke-free.

Work Setting

• The candidate must be able to work in the employer’s or client’s home, be capable of working at varied site locations, and understand that performance progression is reviewed annually.
• The candidate must work at the employer's home.

Additional Information

Security and Safety

• The candidate must undergo a criminal record check.

Transportation/travel information

• The candidate must have a valid driver’s licence.
