Off road heavy-duty equipment mechanic

Machinerie St-Pierre ( Val-d'Or, QC) is currently looking for a skilled Off road heavy-duty equipment mechanic. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Shift timings include: Overtime required, Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Flexible hours, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.
• The candidate must diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required.
• The candidate must adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts.
• The candidate must keep maintenance reports and documentation.
• The candidate must test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications.
• The candidate must clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work.
• The candidate must perform repair work on heavy trucks.
• The candidate must service attachments and working tools.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in French.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• Equivalent experience is acceptable.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The candidate must work in cold or refrigerated conditions.
• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.

• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.
• The candidate must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.

• The candidate must be able to pass a driving record check (abstract).
• The candidate must be able to pass a drug test.
