Nursery manager

Vandula Farms is situated in Delta, BC and is hiring a Nursery manager to join the team. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time.

Job Description

• The candidate must control reported insect, disease and weed problems.
• The candidate must establish and maintain required environmental conditions.
• The candidate must establish work schedules.
• The candidate must hire, train, and supervise staff.
• The candidate must order materials and stock.
• The candidate must supervise staff in planting, transplanting, feeding and spraying activities.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must show initiative.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment.
• The candidate should be willing to work under pressure.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate must work in hot conditions.
• The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
