Millwright apprentice

CanForge in Welland, ON is seeking a self-motivated Millwright apprentice. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Required shifts: Early morning, Morning, Day, Overtime available.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work on the installation stage at which machinery is unpacked, reassembled, realigned, connected to essential services, and tested exhaustively to ensure it operates at peak operating efficiency when it finally goes into production.
• The candidate should be involved in the maintenance, repair, and maintenance of machines, mechanical equipment, and buildings.
• The candidate should work on machine set-up, the time required to prepare a machine for its next run after producing the last part of the previous run.
