Medical orderly

Résidences London ( Sherbrooke, QC) is currently looking for a skilled Medical orderly. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Flexible availability required for: Evening, Night, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must perform other duties related to patient care and comfort.
• The candidate must perform other duties related to personal care.
• The candidate must take patients’ blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
• The candidate must serve meal trays and feed patients.
• The candidate must make beds and maintain patients’ rooms.
• The candidate must bathe, dress, and groom patients.
• The candidate must answer call signals to determine patients’ needs.
• The candidate must administer first aid in emergency situations.

• The candidate must be bilingual.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a nursing home/home for the aged or people who don't need to be in a hospital but can't be cared for at home.
