Meubles RD ( Victoriaville, QC) is currently looking for a skilled Material handler. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. We are offering a Term or contractFull time opportunity. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must load, unload, and move products and materials manually or using basic material handling equipment.
• The candidate must operate various equipment to load, unload, and move materials and products.
• The candidate must pack and unpack goods.
• The candidate must sort, crate, and stack goods.
• The candidate must install, lash, and secure goods.
• The candidate must store cargo and materials.
• The candidate must transport and distribute materials and goods.
• The candidate must organize and maintain inventory.
• The candidate must organize inventories using computerized inventory control systems.
• The candidate must perform front desk duties.
• The candidate must operate a forklift.
• The candidate must ensure products and work methods maximize safety, productivity, and comfort.
• The candidate must check products for defects and ensure conformance to company standards.
• The candidate must pack items for shipping and distribution.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in French.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate must be adaptable.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a warehouse, which can be a noisy, busy place to work, with hundreds of warehouse operatives, pickers, and packers, working alongside many forklift truck drivers who are moving pallets between shelves.
