Sprinkler system installer

New Tech Fire & Mechanical Ltd. in Surrey, BC is inviting applications for the position of Sprinkler system installer. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment.

Job Description

• The candidate must install sprinkler heads and mount prepared pipes.
• The candidate must connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment in accordance with specifications and safety standards.
• The candidate must install clamps, brackets and hangers to properly support piping systems, sprinkler systems and fire protection equipment using hand and power tools.
• The candidate must install valves, alarms and associated equipment.
• The candidate must join pipes using soldering and welding equipment.
• The candidate must service and repair sprinkler systems.
• The candidate must test systems for leaks using testing equipment.
• The candidate must read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work in confined spaces.
• The candidate must work in wet or damp conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
