Machinist

Acier Trimax inc. is situated in Sainte-Marie, QC and is hiring a Machinist to join the team. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Required shifts: Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts.
• The candidate must measure and lay out work pieces in preparation for assembly.
• The candidate must read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables.
• The candidate must set up and adjust production machineries/tools.
• The candidate must fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance.
• The candidate must maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments.
• The candidate must verify dimensions of machined parts using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers).
• The candidate must set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools.
• The candidate must verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
• The candidate must operate plasma cutters.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English or French.
• The candidate must hold a certificate or diploma in a related trade.
• The candidate must be accurate.
