Job Description

  • The candidate must measure and lay out work pieces in preparation for assembly.
  • The candidate must read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables.
  • The candidate must set up and adjust production machineries/tools.
  • The candidate must fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance.
  • The candidate must maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments.
  • The candidate must document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances.
  • The candidate must maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports.
  • The candidate must verify dimensions of machined parts using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers).
  • The candidate must set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools.
  • The candidate must verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
  • The candidate must enter CNC codes specifying speed, feed and tool paths.
  • The candidate must read blueprints to determine work requirements.

  • The candidate must be fluent in English.
  • The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
  • Equivalent experience is acceptable.
  • The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
