Job Description
- The candidate must design and develop power equipment and systems.
- The candidate must interpret blueprints or other instructions to plan methods or sequences of operation.
- The candidate must service equipment.
- The candidate must test power equipment and systems.
- The candidate must assist in design, development, and testing.
- The candidate must assist in preparing estimates, schedules, specifications, and reports.
- The candidate must write specifications.
- The candidate must assist in inspecting, testing, and adjusting electronic components.
- The candidate must calibrate electronic equipment and instruments.
- The candidate must conduct safety training programs.
- The candidate must assist in building and testing prototypes to specifications.
- The candidate must collect and compile operational or experimental data.
- The candidate must carry out applied research in fields of electrical and electronic engineering and physics.
- The candidate must conduct or supervise the installation, commissioning, and operation of electrical and electronic equipment and systems.
- The candidate must set up and operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose, test, and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems.
- The candidate must complete work orders, test, and maintenance reports.
Job Requirements
- The candidate must be fluent in English.
- The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
Work Setting
- The candidate must be able to work in an on-site customer service environment, such as an office or business location.
- The candidate's relocation costs should not be covered by the employer; if the company does not provide a relocation package, you may request an advance on your earnings to cover some of your moving expenses.
- The candidate must work in a laboratory.
