Machining tool operator, CNC (computerized numerical control)

Nova Tile and Marble Limited ( Dartmouth, NS) is currently looking for a skilled Machining tool operator, CNC (computerized numerical control). This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Work schedule: Overtime required, Early morning, Morning, Day.

Job Description

• The candidate must operate and set up machines for repetitive machining operations.
• The candidate must verify dimensions of machined parts using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers).
• The candidate must perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery.
• The candidate must enter CNC codes specifying speed, feed and tool paths.
• The candidate must clean and maintain workspaces.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College/CEGEP diploma.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.

Work Site Environment

• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in manufacturing industry to operate machinery, assemble products, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.
