Job Description

• The candidate must analyze agricultural data.
• The candidate must conduct research.
• The candidate must share research reports with farmers.
• The candidate must liaise with researchers, educators and government or business managers on farming matters.
• The candidate must maintain records of services provided and the effects of advice given.
• The candidate must prepare and conduct advisory sessions and lectures for farmers and other groups.
• The candidate must provide counseling and advisory services to farmers on agricultural subjects.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
• The candidate must work in hot conditions.
• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
• The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
• The candidate must work in wet or damp conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
• The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
• The candidate must work from a remote location, performing their duties from a site other than the employer’s central office while maintaining productivity and communication.
• The candidate's relocation costs should not be covered by the employer; if the company does not provide a relocation package, you may request an advance on your earnings to cover some of your moving expenses.
