Live-in caregiver

Gatmaitan family is situated in Gatineau, QC and is hiring a Live-in caregiver to join the team. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. The schedule involves Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must administer medications as prescribed.
• The candidate must assist clients in water (i.e., pool).
• The candidate must assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene.
• The candidate must assist in regular exercise, such as walking.
• The candidate must feed or assist in feeding.
• The candidate must mend clothing and linens.
• The candidate must provide companionship.
• The candidate must provide personal care.
• The candidate must prepare and serve nutritious meals.
• The candidate must cook meals as required.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• Equivalent experience is acceptable.
• The candidate must be punctual.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must have patience.
• The candidate must be honest.

Work Site Environment

• The work environment is smoke-free.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work at the employer's home.

• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in various positions, including those that require sitting, standing, and walking, as well as those that involve physical activity.

• The candidate must be willing to walk for long periods of time.
