Industrial sewing machine operator

Now hiring: Industrial sewing machine operator at Les Vêtements SP Inc. in Saint-Hyacinthe, QC. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. Work schedule: Day, Evening.

Job Description

• The candidate must perform minor repairs and adjustments to equipment.
• The candidate must operate sewing machines to assemble garment sections into finished products on a production basis.
• The candidate must operate sewing machines or sew by hand.
• The candidate must set in sleeves, pockets, collars and other garment pieces.
• The candidate must use sewing guides and tension devices to ensure quality stitching.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in French.
• The candidate must hold a certificate or diploma in a related trade.
• Equivalent experience is acceptable.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be able to distinguish between colours.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
• The candidate must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
• The candidate should be willing to work for long hours in sitting positions.
