HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) mechanic

DEEP GAS FITTING LTD. ( Surrey, BC) is currently looking for a skilled HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) mechanic. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Flexible availability required for: Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must install and overhaul heating systems.
• The candidate must install refrigeration systems.
• The candidate must install ventilation, air handling, and air conditioning systems.
• The candidate must interpret blueprints or other instructions to plan methods or sequences of operation.
• The candidate must measure and lay out reference points for installation.
• The candidate must read blueprints or other instructions to determine work requirements.
• The candidate must troubleshoot heating systems.
• The candidate must troubleshoot ventilation, air handling, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems.
• The candidate must assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components.
• The candidate must measure, cut, and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment.
• The candidate must start up systems and test for leaks using testing devices.
• The candidate must perform maintenance such as recharging systems with refrigerant, checking and testing regulators, or calibrating systems.
• The candidate must repair and replace parts and components for entire refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation, or heat pump systems.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
