Now hiring: Industrial butcher at European Meats & Deli in Thunder Bay, ON. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. The schedule involves Early morning, Morning, Day shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must cut beef, lamb, pork, or veal carcasses or sides into primal cuts for further processing or packaging.
• The candidate must cut meat and poultry into specific cuts for institutional, commercial, or wholesale use.
• The candidate must remove bones from meat.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks frequently.
• The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate must work in cold or refrigerated conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a meat processing and packing plant/establishment that protects meat and meat products during processing, storage, and distribution from mechanical, chemical, and biological hazards.
