Courtyard & Residence Inn by Marriott Dartmouth is situated in Dartmouth, NS and is hiring a Houseman/woman to join the team. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, On call, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.
• The candidate must dust furniture.
• The candidate must vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture.
• The candidate must make beds and change sheets.
• The candidate must distribute clean towels and toiletries.
• The candidate must stock linen closets.
• The candidate must clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
• The candidate must clean and disinfect elevators.
• The candidate must handle and report lost and found items accurately.
• The candidate must attend to guests’ requests for extra supplies or other items.
• The candidate must provide basic information on facilities.
• The candidate must pick up debris and empty trash containers.
• The candidate must perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
• The candidate must wash windows, walls, and ceilings.
• The candidate must clean changing rooms and showers.
• The candidate must address and resolve customers' complaints or concerns professionally.

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation or equivalent experience.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related industry.
