Job Description
- The candidate must trim trees to achieve desired pruning objectives, such as crown cleaning, thinning, raising, reduction, restoration, espalier pruning, or vista pruning.
- The candidate must survey and assess designated sites.
- The candidate must water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens.
- The candidate must apply lawn care products such as fertilizers and pesticides.
- The candidate must apply various treatments to trees, such as pruning, spraying, repairing damaged areas, and injecting treatment solutions.
- The candidate must assess the health of lawns.
- The candidate must examine trees and shrubs to diagnose problems and disease.
- The candidate must plan and coordinate the growth and use of plants for landscaping, ornamental, and other purposes.
- The candidate must plant and maintain private and public lawns and gardens.
- The candidate must plant and move trees.
- The candidate must perform tree removal.
- The candidate must examine plans, drawings and site layouts.

- The candidate must be fluent in English.
- The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
