Home support worker

COMPASSION HOMECARE in Carbonear, NL is seeking a self-motivated Home support worker. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. Position status: Casual employment or Full time. The schedule involves Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Flexible hours shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must administer bedside and personal care to clients.
• The candidate must assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene.
• The candidate must launder clothing and household linens.
• The candidate must perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
• The candidate must provide companionship.
• The candidate must provide personal care.
• The candidate must prepare and serve nutritious meals.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.

Work Setting

• The candidate must be able to work in the employer’s or client’s home, be capable of working at varied site locations, and understand that performance progression is reviewed annually.
