True North Truck & Diesel Repair Ltd is situated in Nisku, AB and is hiring a Heavy-duty equipment technician to join the team. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Work schedule: Day, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must instruct apprentices.
• The candidate must troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.
• The candidate must diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required.
• The candidate must adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts.
• The candidate must keep maintenance reports and documentation.
• The candidate must have welding experience.
• The candidate must test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications.
• The candidate must clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work.
• The candidate must perform repair work on heavy trucks.
• The candidate must verify and repair emission control systems.
• The candidate must perform other routine maintenance.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a certificate or diploma in a related trade.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate must be accurate.
