Heavy-duty equipment technician

Sunshine Coach Ltd. in Calgary, AB is inviting applications for the position of Heavy-duty equipment technician. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. We are offering a Permanent employment - Part time leading to full time opportunity. The schedule involves Day, Flexible hours, To be determined, , 08:00 to 16:00 shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.
• The candidate must diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required.
• The candidate must order parts and maintain inventory.
• The candidate must adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts.
• The candidate must keep maintenance reports and documentation.
• The candidate must have welding experience.
• The candidate must test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications.
• The candidate must clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work.
• The candidate must perform repair work on heavy trucks.
• The candidate must service attachments and working tools.
• The candidate must verify and repair emission control systems.
• The candidate must perform other routine maintenance.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a certificate or diploma in a related trade.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.

• The candidate must have the ability to discriminate sounds.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods.
