Heavy-duty equipment mechanic

Pinnacle Equipment in Oliver, BC is inviting applications for the position of Heavy-duty equipment mechanic. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Flexible availability required for: Overtime required, Day, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.
• The candidate must order parts and maintain inventory.
• The candidate must adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts.
• The candidate must keep maintenance reports and documentation.
• The candidate must attach components and adjust new farm equipment.
• The candidate must clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work.
• The candidate must perform other routine maintenance.
• The candidate must repair and maintain equipment.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a certificate or diploma in a related trade.
• Equivalent professional experience accepted.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
• The candidate must be able to lift more than 45 kg (100 lbs).
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in inspection services to examine, assess, and ensure that products, equipment, or operational processes meet established standards and regulations.
• The candidate must work in equipment operation to safely operate, maintain, and monitor machinery for efficient performance.
• The candidate must work with agricultural equipment to operate, maintain, and repair machinery used in farming operations.
