Florencia Stevens is situated in Oliver, BC and is hiring a Live-in caregiver - persons with disabilities to join the team. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. The schedule involves Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, On call, Flexible hours, Overtime available shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must administer bedside and personal care to clients.
• The candidate must administer medications as prescribed.
• The candidate must assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene.
• The candidate must assist in regular exercise, such as walking.
• The candidate must change non-sterile dressings.
• The candidate must collect specimens.
• The candidate must feed or assist in feeding.
• The candidate must launder clothing and household linens.
• The candidate must mend clothing and linens.
• The candidate must perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
• The candidate must provide companionship.
• The candidate must provide personal care.
• The candidate must shop for food and household supplies.
• The candidate must prepare and serve nutritious meals.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• Relevant experience considered in lieu of education.
• The candidate must be able to handle weights between 45 and 60 kg (100-132 lbs).
• The candidate must be punctual.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must show initiative.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must be well-organized.

• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.
