Head line cook

CAFE RESTAURANT BELAIR INC. in Montréal, QC is seeking a self-motivated Head line cook. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position.

Job Description

• The candidate must estimate the amount and costs of supplies and food items.
• The candidate must supervise activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers.
• The candidate must create new recipes.
• The candidate must instruct cooks in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.
• The candidate must prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions.
• The candidate must requisition food and kitchen supplies as needed.
• The candidate must arrange for equipment purchases and repairs.
• The candidate must plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards.
• The candidate must train staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in French.
• The candidate must have a College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent experience.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
