Child care worker assistant

GARDERIE MES CHERIS INC. ( Montréal, QC) is currently looking for a skilled Child care worker assistant. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
• The candidate must maintain daycare equipment.
• The candidate must synthesize the overall situation of the children and communicate the information to the parents.
• The candidate must assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
• The candidate must lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest.
• The candidate must assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping accurate records.
• The candidate must guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
• The candidate must prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English or French.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a daycare centre or nursery school, providing care and supervision while supporting educational and recreational activities that promote children’s cognitive and social development.
