Annapoorna Take Out in Mississauga, ON is inviting applications for the position of Head chef. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Required shifts: Overtime required, Early morning, Morning, Day, Weekend, To be determined.

Job Description

• The candidate must maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
• The candidate must supervise activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers.
• The candidate must create new recipes.
• The candidate must instruct cooks in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.
• The candidate must supervise cooks and other kitchen staff.
• The candidate must prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions.
• The candidate must prepare and cook meals or specialty foods.
• The candidate must plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards.
• The candidate must train staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
• Relevant experience considered in lieu of education.
• The candidate must demonstrate leadership.
