Hairstylist

Hair Tech Salon Ltd. is situated in Nanaimo, BC and is hiring a Hairstylist to join the team. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. We are offering a Permanent employment - Part time leading to full time opportunity. The schedule involves Day, Weekend, , 10:00 to 17:30 shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must advise clients on beauty care treatments.
• The candidate must analyze hair and scalp conditions to determine appropriate treatments.
• The candidate must book appointments.
• The candidate must cut and trim hair according to client instructions or preferences.
• The candidate must provide custom hair and scalp treatment.
• The candidate must shampoo customers’ hair.
• The candidate must provide other hair treatments, such as waving, straightening, and tinting, and also provide scalp conditioning massages.
• The candidate must apply bleach, tints, dyes, or rinses to color, frost, or streak hair.
• The candidate must cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm, and style hair.
• The candidate must suggest hairstyles compatible with clients’ physical features and preferences.
• The candidate must perform receptionist duties.

• The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in an urban area with a high population density.
• The candidate must work in a barbershop or hairstyling salon/studio, performing hair care services in a well-organized environment and maintaining tools and equipment properly to ensure efficient and high-quality service.
