Job Description
- The candidate must sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs.
- The candidate must operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and refuse.
- The candidate must empty trash cans and other waste containers.
- The candidate must wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings.
- The candidate must make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
- The candidate must contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment.
- The candidate must perform minor repairs on appliances.
- The candidate must perform safety and security checks.
- The candidate must show apartments and offices to prospective tenants.
- The candidate must move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies.
- The candidate must perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair.
- The candidate must water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens.
- The candidate must clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures.
- The candidate must clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.
Job Requirements
- The candidate must be fluent in English.
- The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
- The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- The candidate must be dependable.
