Valemount Sand & Gravel Ltd is situated in Valemount, BC and is hiring a Gravel screener to join the team. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. Work schedule: Morning, Day, Weekend, Shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• The candidate must perform routine maintenance work on machinery.
• The candidate must transport raw materials, finished products and scrap materials through the plant.
• The candidate must feed conveyors, crushers and other equipment.
• The candidate must skim dross from furnaces.
• The candidate must sort, stack, bundle, and stamp materials.
• The candidate must assist process and machine operators in mineral ore and metal processing.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks frequently.
• The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.

Work Site Environment

• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
