Gas fitter

Chapman Burner and Heating Service Ltd ( Burnaby, BC) is currently looking for a skilled Gas fitter. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Required shifts: On call, Overtime available, , 07:00 to 15:30.

Job Description

• The candidate must install gas heating units and their components.
• The candidate must service gas heating units and their components.
• The candidate must install and maintain meters, regulators, and gas lines between gas units and gas meters.
• The candidate must prepare tenders and quotations.
• The candidate must repair and service gas appliances and related equipment.
• The candidate must instruct apprentices.
• The candidate must advise clients regarding standards, safety features, and maintenance of gas units and systems.
• The candidate must study drawings and specifications to determine the layout of the installation and materials required.
• The candidate must test and adjust control mechanisms and check pipes and piping connections for gas leaks using gas detecting devices.
• The candidate must estimate costs and materials.
• The candidate must test and replace defective equipment or components.
