Front desk hotel manager

Best Western plus Siding 29 Lodge ( Banff, AB) is currently looking for a skilled Front desk hotel manager. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Required shifts: Day, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must develop and implement policies and procedures for daily operations.
• The candidate must supervise staff.
• The candidate must conduct performance reviews.
• The candidate must negotiate with suppliers for the provision of materials and supplies.
• The candidate must conduct training sessions.
• The candidate must negotiate with clients for the use of facilities.
• The candidate must perform front desk duties.
• The candidate must arrange for and oversee maintenance activities.
• The candidate must enforce policies and procedures.
• The candidate must address and resolve customers' complaints or concerns professionally.
• The candidate must assist clients/guests with special needs.
• The candidate must establish work schedules.
• The candidate must organize and maintain inventory.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must have excellent written communication skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must show initiative.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Setting

• The candidate must be able to work in a hotel, motel, or resort with additional sports and leisure facilities, set in a natural environment that attracts visitors beyond the accommodations.
