Freight elevator operator

Eastern Group in Ottawa, ON is seeking a self-motivated Freight elevator operator. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. The schedule involves Overtime required, Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, On call, Flexible hours shifts.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate should be willing to work for long hours in sitting positions.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in various positions, including those that require sitting, standing, and walking, as well as those that involve physical activity.
• The candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment.
• The candidate should be willing to work under pressure.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate must work in hot conditions.
• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
• The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
• The candidate must work in wet or damp conditions.
• The candidate must work in all weather conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in an urban area with a high population density.
• The candidate must work on a construction site.
