E Pro Dental ( Richmond, BC) is currently looking for a skilled Certified dental assistant. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. The schedule involves Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, To be determined shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must prepare patients for dental examinations.
• The candidate must prepare plaster models and moulds.
• The candidate must order dental and office supplies as required.
• The candidate must prepare dental instruments and filling materials.
• The candidate must maintain and order supplies.
• The candidate must perform reception and clerical duties.
• The candidate must sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment.
• The candidate must educate patients concerning oral hygiene.
• The candidate must polish teeth and clinical crowns and apply fluoride and sealant.
• The candidate must schedule and confirm appointments efficiently.
• The candidate must perform intra-oral duties.
• The candidate must take and develop X-rays.
• The candidate must make orthodontic bands from metal and alloys.
• The candidate must record dental procedures performed on patients.
• The candidate must invoice patients for dental services.
• The candidate must polish and buff dentures.
• The candidate must fabricate and place temporary crowns and restorations.
• The candidate must take preliminary impressions for diagnostic casts.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
