Food concession worker

Brandon University is situated in Brandon, MB and is hiring a Food concession worker to join the team. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. We are offering a Term or contractPart time opportunity. Required shifts: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units.
• The candidate must load buspans and trays as required.
• The candidate must operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware.
• The candidate must place dishes in storage areas.
• The candidate must replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas.
• The candidate must sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand.
• The candidate must keep records of the quantities of food used.
• The candidate must package take-out food.
• The candidate must portion and wrap foods.
• The candidate must prepare, heat, and finish simple food items.
• The candidate must serve customers at counters or buffet tables.
• The candidate must stock refrigerators and salad bars.
• The candidate must take customers’ orders.
• The candidate must handle and store cleaning products.
• The candidate must remove kitchen garbage and trash.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate should be client-focused.
