Farm supervisor

EVERSOURCE FARM in Carstairs, AB is inviting applications for the position of Farm supervisor. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. The LMIA has granted approval for this role.

Job Description

• The candidate must guide growing shoots into optimal development positions.
• The candidate must harvest seedlings.
• The candidate must be familiar with soil fertility programs.
• The candidate must assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures.
• The candidate must provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying, or harvesting.
• The candidate must co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers.
• The candidate must maintain quality control and production records.
• The candidate must hire and train staff.
• The candidate must perform general farm duties.
• The candidate must cut horticultural crops.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
