Job Description

  • The candidate must clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens, and other work areas.
  • The candidate must consider water saturation, light, and temperature when planning for crop growth and development.
  • The candidate must cut agricultural crops.
  • The candidate must develop specific plans to prioritize.
  • The candidate must direct agricultural crop deleafing activities.
  • The candidate must implement soil fertility programs.
  • The candidate must oversee the activities of clearing fields.
  • The candidate must train trees to produce more fruit of higher quality.
  • The candidate must perform weeding.
  • The candidate must provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying, or harvesting.
  • The candidate must co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers.
  • The candidate must ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are strictly followed.
  • The candidate must maintain quality control and production records.
  • The candidate must supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations.
  • The candidate must maintain accurate work records and logs.
  • The candidate must perform general farm duties.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate must be fluent in English.
  • The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
  • Or equivalent experience.
  • The candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • The candidate should be willing to work under pressure.
  • The candidate must be able to meet tight deadlines.
  • The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
  • The candidate should have an eye for detail.
  • The candidate must be willing to work long hours in various positions, including those that require sitting, standing, and walking, as well as those that involve physical activity.
