Farm labourer - harvesting

KAILAY FARM MARKET in Osoyoos, BC is seeking a self-motivated Farm labourer - harvesting. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. We are offering a Seasonal employment or Full time opportunity. Required shifts: To be determined.

Job Description

• The candidate must cut agricultural crops.
• The candidate must divide fresh harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots.
• The candidate must pick row and orchard crops.
• The candidate must clean work areas.
• The candidate must harvest crops.
• The candidate must examine product for quality and market readiness.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• A candidate with experience is an asset.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The candidate must work in hot conditions.
• The candidate must work in all weather conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
