General labourer - farm

Castanho Orchards Inc in Osoyoos, BC is seeking a self-motivated General labourer - farm. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. We are offering a Seasonal employment or Full time opportunity. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must divide fresh harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots.
• The candidate must pack fruits and vegetables.
• The candidate must pick row and orchard crops.
• The candidate must plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
• The candidate must sort fruits and vegetables.
• The candidate must load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, farm produce, livestock, and poultry.
• The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
• The candidate must examine product for quality and market readiness.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• A candidate with experience is an asset.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The candidate must work in all weather conditions.
