J & B Millen Farms Limited in Great Village, NS is inviting applications for the position of Farm labourer. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. Terms of employment: Seasonal employment or Full time. Work schedule: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens, and other work areas.
• The candidate must clear fields of wood and stones.
• The candidate must disinfect pens, barns, or poultry houses.
• The candidate must handle animals.
• The candidate must plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
• The candidate must perform weeding.
• The candidate must harvest crops.
• The candidate must feed and tend animals.
• The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
• The candidate must ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are strictly followed.
• The candidate must clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens.
• The candidate must maintain accurate work records and logs.
• The candidate must perform general farm duties.
• The candidate must examine product for quality and market readiness.
• The candidate will be responsible for harvesting vegetables by hand.
