Farm labourer

Glenn Whiteside Farms ltd ( Alliston, ON) is currently looking for a skilled Farm labourer. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This is a Seasonal employment or Full time position. Flexible availability required for: Overtime required, Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Overtime available. LMIA approved position.

Job Description

• The candidate must plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
• The candidate must harvest crops.
• The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
• The candidate must examine product for quality and market readiness.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• A candidate with experience is an asset.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
