Excavator operator

Dexter Construction ( Bedford, NS) is currently looking for a skilled Excavator operator. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Required shifts: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must operate heavy equipment.
• The candidate must clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks.
• The candidate must conduct pre-operational checks on equipment.
• The candidate must secure special attachments to equipment.
• The candidate must operate two-way radios and other communication equipment.
• The candidate must perform minor repairs to equipment.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
