Creative Childcare ( Fredericton, NB) is currently looking for a skilled Early childhood educator (ECE) assistant. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity.

Job Description

• The candidate must assist co-workers in housekeeping and cooking duties.
• The candidate must bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers.
• The candidate must maintain daycare equipment.
• The candidate must engage in storytelling.
• The candidate must assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
• The candidate must assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping accurate records.
• The candidate must engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts.
• The candidate must guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
• The candidate must prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
• The candidate must maintain knowledge of licensing regulations.
• The candidate must establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
• The candidate must plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a child care centre, a day nursery, or a crèches, probably the most formal childcare setting.

• The candidate must undergo a criminal record check.
• The candidate must be able to pass a vulnerable sector check.
