Automation technologist

Linamar Corporation in Guelph, ON is seeking a self-motivated Automation technologist. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Flexible availability required for: Overtime required, Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, On call, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must assist in preparing design, drawings, and specifications.
• The candidate must assist in the design of moulds, tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
• The candidate must carry out a limited range of mechanical tests and analyses of machines, components, and materials.
• The candidate must be knowledgeable in Computer-Aided Design (CAD).
• The candidate must design tools, moulds, jigs, and fixtures.
• The candidate must prepare standards and schedules.
• The candidate must test machines and equipment.
• The candidate must work with robotic process automation.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
• The candidate must be dependable.
