SRR TRANSPORT in Steinbach, MB is seeking a self-motivated Dispatcher, trucks. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Required shifts: Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, On call.

Job Description

• The candidate must ensure proper functioning of equipment.
• The candidate must maintain accurate work records and logs.
• The candidate must monitor personnel workloads and locations.
• The candidate must advise vehicle operators of traffic and other problems.
• The candidate must dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders.
• The candidate must dispatch personnel as required by emergency situations.
• The candidate must maintain knowledge of cross-border dispatching regulations and practices.
• The candidate must maintain knowledge of highway trucking and associated rules and regulations.
• The candidate must maintain vehicle operator work records.
• The candidate must operate radio equipment.
• The candidate must process and transmit information and instructions to coordinate the activities of vehicle operators and crews using dispatching equipment.
• The candidate must record mileage, fuel use, repairs, and other expenses.
• The candidate must respond to urgent calls from individuals in life-threatening situations who require assistance.
• The candidate must schedule assignments and coordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews, and equipment.

• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
