Virsa Indian Cuisine is situated in Whitehorse, YT and is hiring a Cook to join the team. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. Required shifts: Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must coordinate special events.
• The candidate must determine appropriate food portion sizes and associated costs.
• The candidate must plan menus and estimate food requirements for preparation.
• The candidate must prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and food items.
• The candidate must prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
• The candidate must prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by a dietitian or chef.
• The candidate must train staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
• The candidate must order supplies and equipment.
• The candidate must supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
• The candidate must organize buffets and banquets.
• The candidate must manage kitchen operations.

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.

• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks frequently.
