Tour guide

Northern Tales Travel Services is situated in Whitehorse, YT and is hiring a Tour guide to join the team. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Shift timings include: Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must drive sightseeing or tour vehicles.
• The candidate must collect administration or entrance fees.
• The candidate must coordinate recreation activities.
• The candidate must describe points of interest, answer questions, and provide information.
• The candidate must resolve itinerary and other problems.
• The candidate must assist clients with check-in procedures for accommodation and/or transportation.
• The candidate must utilize microphones or other communication devices to provide directions and pertinent information to visitors.
• The candidate must coordinate activities with local tour guides or leaders of performance groups.
• The candidate must provide information on tipping customs, currency exchange rates, metric conversion, and other details.
• The candidate must conduct guided tours of museums, gallery exhibitions and heritage sites, respond to inquiries and provide relevant information.
