Construction estimator

Pentagon Construction & Building Maintenance Ltd. in Edmonton, AB is seeking a self-motivated Construction estimator. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. Required shifts: Morning, Day, Evening.

Job Description

• The candidate must prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs.
• The candidate must prepare pre-qualification submissions to present to clients.
• The candidate must prepare elemental format estimates (Classes B, C, D).
• The candidate must prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads.
• The candidate must project cash flow and financing requirements.
• The candidate must create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms.
• The candidate must liaise, consult, and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College/CEGEP diploma.
• The candidate must have 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in estimating; precise time estimates help you plan and parse your work — as a result, you manage your time and errands properly.
